FORM IV

(ages 14 to 15)

Form IV covers a single year in your child's schooling ... the year in which they turn 15. If your child will be writing GCSE's, it is advisable to compare the specific GCSE requirements with the scope and sequence of each of the Charlotte Mason subjects and if there are any gaps, to supplement from this year onwards.

Form IV subjects include: Bible lessons, English (Writing, Dictation, Composition, English Grammar, Literature, Recitations, Reading), History (English, General), Citizenship, Geography, Science (Natural History, Botany, General Science, Hygiene and Physiology), Picture Study, Mathematics (Arithmetic, Geometry, Algebra), Foreign Languages (Latin, French, German or Italian), Drawing, Music (Instrument, Musical appreciation, Singing), Drill and Handicrafts.
