Form I covers your child's first three years of homeschooling. Charlotte Mason advocated that children should not receive formal lessons until the age of 6, when your child will begin Form IB. Form IB is the year in which your child will learn to read and write and it is an introductory year for all of their subjects and Charlotte Mason's principles. Your child will then spend two years in Form IA, divided into Form IA Lower and Form IA Upper.
Form I subjects include: Bible lessons, Sunday Reading, English (Writing, Tales, Recitations, Reading), English History, Geography, Natural History, Picture Study, Mathematics (Sums), Foreign Languages (French), Brushdrawing, Music (Instrument, Musical appreciation, Singing), Drill and Handicrafts.
We currently offer a complete Natural History programme for all three years of Form I. More subjects will be added on an ongoing basis.
